Ruel Vincent Van Dijk, is a British-Australian singer and songwriter from Sydney, Australia. He is 18 years old and he’s been pursuing music since he was 12 years old.

Ruel has been active since 2017. His music includes genres such as rap, pop, and soul. He gained fame from his first song called “Younger”, produced by artist/producer M-Phazes.

M-Phazes discovered Ruel when he was 12 years old. While being signed with M-Phazes, he released his first single and his first EP.

He has released 3 EP’s in all. Ready was released in 2018, Free Time was released in 2019, and Bright Lights, Red Eyes was released recently on October 23, 2020.

He is best known for his singles “Don’t Tell Me,” “Younger,” “As Long As You Care” and “Painkiller.”

 He won an award at the Aria Music Awards of 2018 for Breakthrough Artist from his single, Dazed and Confused. He won an award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for Favorite Aussie/Kiwi in 2019. 

He won an award at the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Australian Act in 2019, and an award at the National Live Music Awards of 2019 for Live Voice Of The Year.

Ruel has embarked on 5 headlining tours; The Dazed and Confused Tour in 2018, Ready EP Launch Tour in 2018, Ready Tour Asia in 2019, Painkiller Tour in 2019, and Free Time World Tour in 2019.

Ruel is getting bigger and rising quickly in the music industry. From his music exposure on the social media app TikTok, and the fact that he’s a young artist, there will be much more to come from him!
