Are you a freshman? Do you want to make a difference in our school and community? Then the Student Government Association (SGA) is the club for you. The Student Government Association is involved in numerous community activities, offering leadership and service opportunities.

SGA is very involved with people in this community, such as other schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Cumberland County. They are also responsible for many events held here at Cape Fear. SGA is responsible for things like picking themes for Homecoming, Football games, and Spirit week. They also play an integral role in all Homecoming festivities such as our Float Parade, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King, and the Homecoming Pep Rally.

SGA has started some new school events. Including the Faculty vs. Student Volleyball game, also the Mr. Cape Fear Pageant. In addition to the Pageant, SGA has started a Talent Show to help Raise money for Deca.

On top of that, SGA does many great things for the community. For example, the Backpack Buddy donation, and the Rise Against Hunger Food Event. This year they plan to put on a Haunted Trail during the Halloween season. SGA members will also be making Christmas cards for the Cape Fear Faculty and Veterans.

If you want to be a part of helping your school, helping maintain and create activities for students, then SGA is for you! Also providing a service for your community, SGA is perfect for you. Below you can find information about Class Officers, duties and how to sign up.
