The Lady Colts wrapped up the conference championship yesterday at Gates Four. The girls continued their undefeated streak for the third year in a row.
“I am extremely proud of the girls this season. They have experienced a lot of success this season, but also been through their fair share of personal struggles they have had to work on. As a result, I’m so proud these girls came on top, and this has been a team goal since the beginning of the season. We are going to continue to work on our game as we take on regionals next week.” said Coach Todd Edge.
The Lady Colts had a team score of 292 coming in first, Purnell Swett came in second with a team score of 316, Grays Creek came in third with a team score of 336, Jack Britt came in fourth with a team score of 341, and Lumberton came in fifth with a team score of 363.
The medalist of the match was Alex Serbio with a score of 93. This was Serbio’s lowest round of the season!
Kate Wilson finished third with a 97, Gracey Horne placed fourth with a 102, Abbey Bullard was fifth with a 105, Caroline Hales finished 16th with a 118, and Hanah Roney was 24th with a 124.
The Lady Colts will travel to Wilson, North Caroline next Monday to compete in the East Regional at Wedgewood Golf Club.
