“It’s really special because we (the nine seniors on the golf team) have all had the chance to become really close throughout our season, and that shows on the course as well. However, being on a team with mostly all seniors was really fun and our senior night was a memory I will never forget. Overall, we had a great season and remained undefeated” said Wilkerson when asked about her senior season.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling. It’s crazy that we are all seniors, but at the same time we made it this far and it’s fun to have the last ride and enjoy these moments. I think our JV (rising Varsity) team has good athletes, so I feel when they move up to the next level, with good coaches and practice, they will do a good job.” Melvin said.
“The season has been good, I am really proud of how we’ve done. We step up to the occasion and we are excited about going to states, where I feel we can make it there,” Melvin remarks.
Making history, winning the Conference Tournament for the first time since 2016, the CF Colts Men’s Soccer team takes the win against the Lumberton Pirates. Scoring 3 goals, and only letting one in for the Pirates, the Colts had a ground-breaking night. “I feel like we came prepared and we focused on the game,” said Mclemore.
Colt Nation is very proud of our Senior Colts achievements during their sports, as well as outstanding character in their daily lives as well. Colt Nation thanks our Senior Colts, for your dedication to the CF Athletic Program and for representing our community with pride!
