Welcome to Cape Fear Baseball 2024! Baseball is a known tradition at Cape Fear. The Colts are a lock to make the state playoffs each year, holding a winning conference record over the past 13 years.
Head coach: Jarrod Britt has been the head coach of the baseball team for the last 5 years. Before that he coached at Pine Forest High School. Britt leads Colts for Christ; a club that helps students grow with God, and as athletes on the field. He also leads bible studies with the baseball players.
2023: 18-11 regular season record
2023 conference finish: 12-2, tied first with Purnell Swett
23 playoffs: Made it to the third round of playoffs where they lost to Orange.

Promising newcomers:
-Landon Underwood- Outfield
-Brycen Talley – Right-Handed Pitcher, Shortstop
-Logan Rayburn – Right-Handed Pitcher
-Teagun Strahley – Catcher
-Cannan Schubert – Catcher
Player outlook:
Mason Hughes- “I think we are going to have a great season, at practice we are looking better than ever. Everybody is in their best shape and our team is working together very well.”
Lucca Pascarella- “We are looking pretty solid, it’s looking like we will be even better than last year.”
Ethan Plesser- “We are looking for that state championship.”
Coaches outlook: “We have a great foundation with the talented seniors and a good junior class, along with a great freshman class coming in. We have that winning mindset so it’s not a shock when we make it into the second or third round of playoffs, It’s expected. We have built on the past two years with a good core of seniors.”
The Colts will have their first scheduled scrimmage on February 17th against Green Hope and Grays Christian, and their first game on February 27th at Whiteville
