CFNN Reporters: Ana Warchal and Emily Harris
After last week’s match getting postponed, the Lady Colts played at Cypress Golf Course on Monday finishing 3rd place overall with a team score of 317.
The Colts best scorers Saylor Drose with a 101, Emily Harris with a 107 and Abbey Bullard scoring a 109, Drose being the best scorer.
“Cypress Lakes was definitely one of our hardest courses to be honest. We didn’t play our best but we got through it but we have improved every time we practice and every match. We just have to work harder if we want to place 1st,” said Drose
The Cape Fear Colts didn’t have their best match struggling mainly on the greens but they were able to make it through the match.
“The past is the past, there is nothing you can do about it, move forward and do better on the next hole. I started off not so good but at the end I started tightening up but not tight enough. That match was not my best but the next match is at home so we are all very familiar with the course and hopefully come up on top,” said Harris
Caroline Hales, Abby McKenzie, and Ana Warchal also played at Cypress contributing to the match.
“We continue to work hard. We pulled out a third place finish at Cypress Lakes and our home match is next week. We’re looking to finish first. Saylor Drose shot her personal best round of 101 at Cypress Lakes,” said Coach Edge
The Colts will have their next match at Baywood Golf Course next week on Monday September 30th. Good luck Ladies!
