There’s a lot of exciting things happening around the clubs at Cape Fear high school this week! Your club news reporters are here to keep you updated.

Starting off, Cape Fear high school’s Deca pink spirit week is here! Each day there is a different theme and it is strongly encouraged all students and teachers dress up to show off their support for Cape Fear high school and Deca. The best dressed student each day will win a prize as well. The themes include: Monday-Barbie/Ken day, Tuesday-pink sock/shoe day or pajama day, Wednesday-hawaiian/flamingo day, Thursday-teacher and student swap day (students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students), and lastly, Friday-pink out.

“My goals this year for Deca is to build more of a connection with the school and get more members involved,” said the Deca president Lillian Dudley.

During all lunch periods there will be a table selling pink merchandise for students to purchase to wear throughout the week and at the game this friday. Some of the items being sold this week include: pink glasses, bracelets, stickers, rubber ducks, and much more! Deca will also be having a meeting this week on Tuesday, October 1st, right after school in room 226.

Lastly, Deca is doing a Pie-in-the-Face fundraiser. During all lunch periods, September 30th through October 4th, there will be jars for each contestant, and whichever contestant has the most money is their jar will be getting pied in the face at the homecoming pep rally on Friday, October 18th, make sure to put money in your favorite teachers jar to see them get pied in the face! Stay tuned next week, or follow the official Cape Fear Deca instagram @capefear.deca for more information.

Molly Baer, Brennan Baxley, Allison Chesher, Peyton Eason, and Brant Freeman running for vice-president. Lastly, Allyana Blea, Mareesa Clipper, Kinsley Feldman, Emery Hill, Gavin Luchetta, Anna Kate Smith, and Lilly Walker running for spirit liaison. We asked two of our freshman class presidential candidates their feelings on the election.
