As Christmas break & finals week quickly approach, Cape Fear’s clubs have a lot going on. 

Starting off, CF DECA held their annual DECA Christmas social this past Monday, December 9th. Members played games, shared snacks, did team building activities, and even participated in an ornament exchange. 

Also, DECA state competition dues were due this past Friday, December 6th. Competition practice dates will be released soon; be sure to check your email and Remind to stay up to date. Additionally, follow CFHS DECA on social media to stay up to date.

Speaking of business clubs, FBLA regional competition was held this past Wednesday, December 4th, at Methodist University. The following students were recognized: 

Top 10 Business Communications: Ariana Jacobs and Ashton Horne

Top 10 Financial Math: Hope Jernigan

Top 10 Intro. to Public Speaking: Jailynn Brown

3rd place Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure: Alexis Baker

4th place Spreadsheet Applications: Madelyn Nichols.

Next, Colts for Christ will be holding their usual meeting this Thursday, December 12th, at 8:00 am. We will be discussing a Devo called “Know Your Opponent”. Be sure to come by with an open heart and bring a friend. This is the last meeting of the semester.
