Cape Fear Indoor Track team took off in a sprint at the JDL Run Fast invitational on January 4th. 

The girls had one amazing runner place in two events. Our Senior star Anyeh Bronson placed 2nd in the 300 Meter Dash with a time of 40.14 seconds and 3rd in the Junior/Senior 55 Meter Dash with a time of 7.12 seconds.

Additionally, on January 14th, 2025, the Colts competed in the Hofmeister Invitational in Winston-Salem.

The boys did exceptionally well in this event and the school won 1st place in the 4×400 meter relay. Jaxon Hoover, Khalil Marshall, Malik Whiteside, and Reuben Hogan completed the relay with a time of 3:56.68.

They also placed 2nd in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 8:57.39.  As for the runners, Jaxon Hoover got 3rd place with a time of 37.31 seconds in the 300 meter dash. In the 500 meter dash, Malik Whiteside got 10th with a time of 1:18.56. In the 1000 meter run, Jordan Price got 7th with a time of 3:11.80. We had three runners place in the 1600 meter run: Christopher Shick got 5th with 5:03.42, Collin Shick got 6th with 5:05.57, and James Riddle got 9th with 5:17.80.

The girls also had an excellent showing with three runners placing in the 500 meter dash. In 4th, we had Justice Campbell with 1:29.62, Addison Davis in 5th with 1:30.78, and Anaiya Lewin in 10th with 1:34.58. 

We are so proud of our team and know they will continue to succeed on the track! The next event will be the Patriot Polar Bear meet #2B in Southern Pines.
