Last Monday, the Cape Fear Colts dominated the Seventy-First Falcons with a commanding 8-1 victory. Not only did our Colts display immense skill, but their depth and teamwork were also shown in the game, demonstrating that the Colts are a force to be reckoned with this season.
The Colts success against the Falcons involved the whole team. Our starters and our thirds performed exceptionally against them, obliterating the Falcons starters. The performance by our team reflects the great success they will have later this season, as well as demonstrating their ability and readiness to perform at a higher level.
“That game boosted our team morale because that was the first game where our whole team was present, and all healthy,” said Deacon Eason.
A standout moment in the match came when Jordan Williams took down one of Seventy-First’s state qualifiers. His sharp focus and fierce determination energized his teammates, pushing them to elevate their game and adopt a winning, competitive mindset.
With a sweep 3-0 win, the Colts are picking up steam and getting better with each win. Coaches are paying close attention to the lineup’s depth, as surprise performers give them more options for future contests.
Monday’s win brought optimism with the unit fine-tuning its strategy. The Colts’ resilience, unity, and star power put them in a good place, and it’s a testament to how it can be a start to a season to be remembered.
