This week’s Exceptional Student of the Week is Payton Logan! Payton is 20 years old and is known as the class Princess. She lives in Eastover with her mom and her dog Simon.

Payton loves the movie Frozen and has seen the Disney on Ice performance many times.  Her class has gone on a field trip to see Frozen twice and her mom has taken her too.  She invites everybody she meets to come see Frozen with her, she even dressed up as Olaf for Halloween last year.  Payton also loves Angelina Ballerina and Peppa Pig and does ballerina moves for her classmates.

“Payton seems to always find happiness in every situation. Even on her tougher days, she plows through with a smile! I, also, love that she is a fellow Disney lover. Frozen on Ice is our favorite thing to talk about! I wish there were more individuals in the world that have such a docile and kind soul as Payton’s,” said Coach Robby Wright on his experience working with Payton at school.

Payton’s favorite subject at school is probably PE in the fall. SGA goes and helps out with the  PE class, and Payton has grown very fond of all the SGA students. In the classroom Payton is an amazing helper. Whenever anyone needs a hand, she is always the first to volunteer.

Payton’s best friend at school is Dale and they really love each other. They get so excited to see each other every day, and always sit together at lunch.

“Payton loves being a helper and really loves helping out in the Booster Club concession stand and the Colt Cafe. She also hasn’t met a cart she didn’t enjoy pushing.  I feel so blessed to get to come to work every day and be Payton’s person. The joy she finds in the smallest of details and the love she has to share with her friends is infectious. She really is Princess Payton,” said Mrs Quinton on being Payton’s one on one teacher.

One thing that stands out about Payton is her contagious smile and laugh. She always seems to be very happy and there’s never a dull moment when you’re around Payton. She gets very excited to do class activities, and loves being around her classmates. It could be raining and cloudy, but Payton would have a smile on her face and spread happiness to everyone.

“Payton is always a joy to be around because of her contagious laugh,” said Lilly Walker, on her favorite part about being Payton’s step sister.

Payton’s joyful attitude and helpful hand has earned her Exceptional Student of the Week! We are so proud of her and all that she brings to the Cape Fear community. Congratulations Payton Logan!
