The Cape Fear tennis team had a sharp week this week prevailing in both of their matches against Purnell Swett and Seventy-First. The Colts dominated in their doubles in both matches this week with the doubles pair Sebastion Ortiz and Jonathan Kim delivering an amazing performance against the Falcons 8-1. Jordan Williams also dominated the Seventy-First match winning in both singles and doubles.
The Colts success against Purnell Sweat was just as stellar, as they started the week dominating on the court 6-3. Cape Fear took control over the singles in which they won crucial matches to secure the early lead. The doubles teams also performed well, winning all three doubles matches against the Rams.
The team was focused and ready, delivering several solid matches in securing the victory.
Against the Falcons, the Colts faced a solid challenge, but they were up to the task, ultimately winning 6-3. Doubles teammates Jordan Williams and Deacon Eason defeated Kaiden Harvey and Anthony Quashie from Seventy-First, with a shining score of 8-3. Seventy-First’s Solomon Maxwell won player of the match; kudos for his effort.
“These wins felt amazing for us and it really feels good and gives the whole team a confidence boost” said Deacon Eason
