Here at Cape Fear High School we are blessed with some of the best teachers and staff in the county. This week, the students of CFHS have chosen Morgan Bullard as teacher of the week! Cape Fear is so lucky to have her as a leader in the classroom.

Mrs. Bullard attended college at William Peace University. She teaches AP Art and is currently in her 14th year of teaching at Cape Fear!

Mrs. Bullard teaches art for many reasons. She loves seeing people happy, and especially enjoys seeing students come to class excited and eager to learn. Mrs. Bullard believes that everyone has creativity inside them, even if they don’t think they do. Watching students surprise themselves with what they can create is the best part of her job.

“It’s fulfilling for me to use anything God has given me to give back to others. I love helping people discover talents they didn’t know they had and for students to find ways to love themselves in the best ways,” says Mrs. Bullard.

No one has inspired Mrs. Bullard to become a teacher more than the students, teachers, and administration she works with everyday at Cape Fear. They are always providing encouragement and support, and they find fun ways to boost morale, which makes even the hardest days better!

Mrs. Bullard grew up right outside of Fayetteville. She has 2 boys, Wyatt and Bode who are the heart of her life! Outside of school Mrs. Bullard is a homesteader. She loves spending time with the people she loves, gardening, cooking, baking, and making things special, especially if it means she was able to make someone’s day a little bit better!

“I love Mrs. Bullard because she’s always so nice and welcoming. Not only does she make the best cookies but she loves Taylor Swift.” says Maya Rind.

Mrs. Bullard always maintains a positive attitude in the classroom. It’s a place students can go and not be afraid to be themselves. She has a way of teaching that keeps students interested and engaged due to her creative teaching methods. She is very passionate about what she teaches and never fails to make it an exciting day in her classroom.

“The best thing about teaching isn’t the teaching piece itself. It’s the thing that happens in other people when you teach that makes it my favorite. Learning is a key to happiness in life, I believe the more you learn, the more joy you’ll discover!” Says Mrs. Bullard.

We are beyond grateful for Mrs. Bullard, and hope she continues her teaching career with us at Cape Fear High School for many more years. She is making learning enjoyable for many. The staff and students greatly appreciate her!
