This week the Lady Colts had some great home matches! They went against both Purnell Swett and Grays Creek here on Colt Stomping Grounds.

On Monday, the Girls Tennis Team dominated the court against Purnell Swett at home. The Lady Colts were on fire having multiple players winning their matches 6-1 in the first set and 6-0 in the second. These players were Senior Dani Fick on Court one, Senior Hailey Ross on Court two, On Court three Sophomore Ezra Pajarilla, and on Court Four Junior Alissa Fulghum.

The Lady Colts all had great focus and speed during their matches. Over at Court Five Junior Haylee Hall won both sets 6-2. On Court Six, with a 6-1 win in the first set and 6-2 in the second set, was Junior Aslyn Autry. The Single matches had amazing results, which helped these ladies go into their doubles matches with such momentum. 

These hard working Colts kept the momentum going as they entered their doubles matches. At Court One was Ezra Pajarilla and Hailey Ross where they showcased their amazing skill set winning in their first set 8-1. The second court duo Dani Fick and Alissa Fulghum hustled the first set and ended with a victory of 8-3. Junior Emma Stephens and Haylee Hall had a tough brawl at Court Three, but came through with a solid win 8-6.

On Wednesday, the Lady Colts Tennis Team had another amazing match against the Grays Creek Bears, winning 6-3. In singles the Colts put in the work winning 4 of their 6 matches, showcasing their drive and willingness to put in the work. During doubles the girls put up an amazing fight. In the end they came out on top winning 2 out of the 3 matches. 

Next week the Colts will have two matches. Come out and cheer for your favorite tennis team on Monday, September 29th at Terry Sanford at 4pm as the Lady Colts battle it out with the Bulldogs. If you are unable to attend Monday, the Colts will be back in Colt Country on Wednesday with a home match up against Scotland High School at 4pm. 

The Lady Colts are on a roll and we can’t wait to see what all they continue to accomplish this season.
