Yesterday the Lady Colts had an astounding match against Scotland High School on their home courts. The Colts played aggressively, but put up a solid match defensively, ultimately bringing home a big 8-1win. The conference win kept the Colts within striking distance of a conference title.

The Lady Colts started in singles with a clean sweep at Court One with Senior Dani Fick and at Court two with Senior Hailey Ross both finishing 8-0 in the first set. Sophomore Ezra Pajarilla at Court Three had a dominating win in set one 8-2. Junior Alyssa Fulgham at Court four had a clean win in the first set finishing 8-1. Junior Haylee Hall had a challenging match in court five, she fought hard but lost 6-8 in the first set. Finally at Court Six, Aslyn Autry had a grand slam win in the first set, 8-0.

The Lady Colts played exceedingly well in all of their single matches. This led the Colts to an even bigger victory in doubles. The Girls Tennis Team took control of the courts and won all three double matches.

Court one doubles include Sophomore Ezra Pajarilla and Senior Hailey Ross. They had an overwhelming victory, finishing off in the first set 8-1. At Court two are doubles partners, Senior Dani Fick and Junior Alyssa Fulgham, who also won in the first set 8-2 thanks to their impressive communication skills. At Court Three is Junior Emma Stephen and Junior Haylee Hall who ended with a steamrolling score of 8-1 in the first set.

This match brings the Lady Colts to an overall record of 8-2 and 6-2 in conference matches. These ladies are putting in the work and are ready to finish out this season strong. Tomorrow the Colts will take on the Terry Sanford Bulldogs in a key conference match that was rescheduled from Monday. Be there at 4pm at Terry Sanford High School to cheer for your Lady Colts.
