Head Coach: Brian Graham

Assistant Coach: Rosalyn Ricketts

Coach’s Outlook: “I want my players to compete at a high level each game, I believe if you compete you give yourself a chance to win, that’s our approach,” said Coach Graham.

The team has had a lot of recent success, making deep playoff runs to at least the third round in four of the last five years.

“Our Team goal is to hold our opponent to 45 points per game, win the holiday classic, win the Tri county conference, make the 7A State Playoffs, and win multiple State Playoff games,” said Graham.

Graham’s “defense first” coaching philosophy has led to a tough and scrappy reputation for Cape Fear Basketball.

“Our defense has to be more aggressive and fast, shot selection has to be better, and limit our turnovers. It’s my job to set high expectations for each team.  I have to make sure players are improving their basketball skills and help them understand their role on this team,” he said.

2024 Record: Last season’s overall record was 10-13

“I’m really looking forward to my first basketball season at Cape Fear and hopefully competing to the level around me and learning from the upperclassmen, and not only growing as a player but as a person!” exclaimed Freshman Sarah Eavenson.

The first game is on Thursday November 20th at Douglas Byrd High School. Be sure to check out the team! Go Colts!
