CFNN Reporters Aiden Hale, Brayden Luchetta, and Cameron Hall

Head Coach: Joan Callahan.

Key Returners: Chris Shick, Collin Shick, Addie Davis, Kayden Giles, Lucas Wells, Tyson Sinclair, Brayden Luchetta, Maximus Mello, and Roman Erb.

Promising Newcomer: Freshman Brady Tucker.

Coach’s Outlook: ”I’m expecting probably 4 or 5 different people to qualify for states this year, along with at least one or two of my relays,” stated Callahan. “I have a young freshman that I’ve been impressed with. I’m expecting great things from him in the next four years to come. My juniors and seniors should step up and lead the team the way leadership is done.”

Thoughts From the Team: “I think I will get a PR (Personal Record) this season because last year I was injured all year, so it’s going to be kind of hard to not get a PR,” said Addie Davis.

The Cape Fear indoor track and field team is eager to start this season. They are coming in with a great fire, a chip on their shoulder, and are expected to dominate their conference this winter. This season’s team has some of the best squad depth out of every school in Cumberland County. Last year, the Colts dominated as always. The Women’s team took 14th place in states and the Men’s team was competitive the whole meet and throughout the season. The indoor track team is determined to take on this season by a storm and get better after every meet.
