The Colts season sadly came to an end Monday night, falling just short of an upset, dropping a 69-61 heartbreaker to the North Brunswick Scorpions.

The Colts came in as the lower seed and were hoping for a first round upset, but came up just a little short.

Seniors Chosen Wynn and Geronimo Sanchez did everything they could to extend the season, accounting for half of the team’s total points and pulling down half of its rebounds.

Though this season didn’t go the way they had hoped, the team was still able to make an impressive playoff push that came down to the last game of the season.

“We had a great season; I just hate the way that it ended so soon. I feel like we could’ve won more games, but we had a great season overall,” said Wynn after the game.

The Colts have had an incredible stretch over the last decade with this year being their 9th playoff appearance in the past 10 years.

The Colts have a lot to look forward to next year with underclassmen like Tres Daughtry, Ge’lan Hicks, and Jamar Godwin. They will be looking to continue the Cape Fear Legacy next year with a Great season.

Returning UpperClassman like Josh Green, Dy’lan Parker, and Marcelous Freeman, will be looked at as leaders next year and will be looking to take on a bigger role for the team next year.
