The Colts have moved to a 3-0 record in the Tri-County Conference and 6-1 record overall after their 7-5 win Tuesday night against the Purnell Swett Rams.

This team has constantly pushed each other to keep striving to get better every week, playing each game looking to top their last.

The Colts outdid themselves Tuesday night, keeping the Rams at bay by allowing 0 runs through the first 5 Innings.

Those Innings were Pitched by Aiden Urdiales and Jayden Brewington. Their performance on the mound was a huge contribution to the Conference win with the team being able to get a 7 Run lead before the Rams got on the board.

Aiden and Jayden also combined for 0 hits allowed through the first 5 innings, also combining for a total of 11 Strikeouts.

Junior Outfielder Landon Underwood led the team with a monster game against the Rams going 2-3 at the plate with 4 RBI’s, also hitting the team’s first homerun of the season.

When asked about the game, Landon had a lot to say, and a big part of it was how he tries to keep his pre-game routine the same for every game.

“I wanted to keep a good mindset and help us get a bigger lead so we could have that lead way going into the bottom of the 5th inning and be comfortable,” said Underwood.

“Celebrating the homerun with the team was great, it was nice to get the first one of the year and there’s many more to come, but overall it was just really exciting,” he said.

The Colts started off the week in great fashion against Purnell Swett, but they looked to keep the momentum going, as they faced off against the Pine Forest Trojans last night.

Despite being in enemy territory, the Colts pummeled the Trojans into submission with a dominant 16-1 victory to push them to 7-1 on the season.

A win like that isn’t just a regular game; it’s a statement no matter who or where you play. The Colts have improved each week, making this week their biggest win yet.

The team only allowed 1 run and 3 hits Thursday night thanks to outstanding performances all around from Pitchers Brycen Tally, Tres Daughtry, and Eason Turner.

The Colts had their very own “Dynamic Duo” on the Diamond in their Twins Nick and Chris Serbio during the big win against Pine Forest.

The Twins were unstoppable at the plate combining  for 3 Runs, 5 Hits, 5 RBI’s, and 5 Doubles. They also had a total of 5 Putouts, making them leaders on both offense and defense for the Colts.

“They had a big gap in the right center field last night, so I just wanted to place the ball there,” said Nick Serbio.

“Me and Chris have both been competitive since a young age,… when one of us is doing well the other one likes to respond and kinda feed off each other’s energy,” said Nick Serbio.

The Colts are pumped after their wins Tuesday against Purnell Swett and Thursday against Pine Forest and will play Purnell again to try and push their Conference record to 4-0 and to keep their 7 game winning streak alive.
