Have you heard of Christopher Brent Wood? If not, you might know him as his stage name, Brent Faiyaz. He is a 25 year old American singer and record producer.

Faiyaz makes music that fits the rhythm, blues, and hip hop genres. He has 4 albums total, Sonder Sun, F the World, Lost and A.M. Paradox.

He was a part of another musical group called Sonder, but eventually decided that he wanted to show the world what he could do on his own. His first single titled “Allure” was released in 2015.

“My favorite song is Trust,” stated Nyla and Aaralynn, two sophomores at Cape Fear High School. 

This also happens to be Faiyaz’s most popular song. “Trust” was released on October 19, 2018. This song is also big on TikTok, with 362.4k videos with this sound.

“Gang Over Luv is my favorite song,” Isaih, another sophomore at Cape Fear High School, said.

Faiyaz has over 1.1 million followers on Instagram. He’s big on Spotify and Soundcloud as well. His new song “Dead Man Walking,” was released on September 17, 2020.

“My favorite song is probably Clouded,” replied Malachi, a sophomore at E.E. Smith High School. 

Brent Faiyaz is coming up and is popular among many adults and teens, and you’ll probably start to hear his name more often.
