Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell, an 18 year old alternative American singer and songwriter, better known as Billie Eilish. Billie has a famous brother, Finneas O’Connell, who produces most of her music, as well as his own.
Billie has many genres of music mixed in her music. These genres include Pop/Rock, Left-Field Pop, Indie Electronic, and Alternative/Indie Rock.

She has made 2 albums so far, “dont smile at me” and “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” Her second album won Best Album, Record of the Year, and Pop Vocal Album at the 2020 Grammys. She also won Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
“My favorite song is xanny,” states Ava, an 8th grader at Mac Williams Middle School.

Billie got her big break in 2015 with her song “Ocean Eyes.” Finneas originally recorded it for his own band, but decided to test Billie’s voice on it. He recorded her singing it in her bedroom, and uploaded it to SoundCloud, where it blew up overnight. She has over 66.9 million followers on Instagram.
“My favorite song is lovely,” exclaims Isabella, a sophomore at Cape Fear High School.
The “dont smile at me” tour was Billie’s first tour, taking place in 2017. Her second tour for that album, the “Where’s My Mind Tour,” was in 2018. Her third tour, the “1 by 1 Tour,” took place from 2018-2019, right before the release of her second album.

WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP,
WHERE DO WE GO?
Her third tour and first World Tour, the “When We All Fall Asleep,” World Tour, took place in 2019-2020. The fourth tour, “Where Do We Go?” began in 2020, but was postponed due to COVID.
“My favorite song is my future,” said Hali, a sophomore at Cape Fear High School. This single was released on July 30, 2020. This song is about Billie reflecting on her past and what is to come in her future.
Billie has a documentary coming out in February 2021 called “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.” It will be giving a look into her life as an 18-year old world sensation.
While some people believe that Billie is overrated and overplayed, she has an enormous fanbase and continues to reach all different types of people through her music.
