Blackpink (styled as BLACKPINK) is a South Korean girl group that consists of 4 members, Jisoo, Jennie, Rośe, and Lisa. They came together on August 8th, 2016 under YG Entertainment. On October 23, 2018, they signed with the US label Interscope Records.

They have a TV show called Blackpink House. The show is all about the members and what they do in their everyday lives. The first episode aired on January 6, 2018, and ended with the first season.

They won one award for MTV Video Music Award for Song of Summer in 2020 for their hit “How You Like That.” 

“My favorite song is Boombayah,” Lia, a sophomore at Cape Fear High School said.

Their latest release is called ‘Bet You Wanna’ which features Cardi B. The song was released on October 2nd, 2020. 

“My favorite song is Kill This Love,” stated Ejahya Smith and Hali Gywnn, who are both Sophomores at Cape Fear High School.

BLACKPINK In Your Area was released on November 23, 2018. This was their first studio album release. They recently released a second studio album called THE ALBUM, which released on October 2, 2020.

“My Favorite song is Love To Hate Me,” states Natalia Yarrell, a sophomore at Cross Creek Early College High School.

Their self-titled EP, BLACKPINK, was released on August 29, 2017. Their second EP, Square Up, was released on June 15, 2018. Their last EP, KILL THIS LOVE, was released on April 5, 2019.

They are getting more and more popular every week, their songs frequently appear on the social media app “TikTok,” and on the radio as well. They are enthusiastic, and make catchy, upbeat tunes that you’ll be singing all day long!
