Tate McRae is a Canadian singer, songwriter and dancer. She is most known for her emotive sound. Tate has been active since 2011.

Her music ranges in genres such as Alternative pop, Social Media Pop, Pop/Rock, Left-Field Pop, Indie Electronic and Alternative/ Indie Rock. 

At the age of 13, she gained popularity as the first Canadian finalist on the television show “So You Think You Can Dance?”. From 2013 to 2018, she participated in competitive cheer. Tate’s original song, “One Day” caught the attention of RCA Records in 2019.

“My favorite song is One Day,” stated Malia, a sophomore at Cape Fear High School.

She has 2.78 million subscribers on YouTube and a total of 269.6 million views. She writes original songs and posts them on her channel. In 2017,  she started a series on her YouTube called, “Create With Tate.”

She has a total of 17 songs produced and released from 2017 through 2020. She has been featured on 3 songs by other artists as well. She has also been a voice actor for Lalaloopsy Ponies: The Big Show, Lalaloopsy: Band Together and Lala-Oopsies: A Sew Magical Tale. 

Tate has been nominated for 4 dance awards and she’s won 3 of them. She has been nominated for 3 music awards, but hasn’t won one yet.

Tate’s latest release was a song released on April 17, 2020. “You Broke Me First,” is still very popular on TikTok.

At only 17 years old, she has accomplished a lot with her talent for singing and dancing. She is keeping her music production up and is always striving for bigger things.
