Aurora Aksnes, better known as AURORA, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She has been an active artist since 2012. Her genre of music is dark electro-pop.
Aurora’s first single “Puppet” was released in December of 2012. Her second single “Awakening” was released in May 2013. She signed to Glassnote in between 2013 and 2014. Her first single released under her label, “Under The Stars,” was released in November of 2014. Her second single “Runaway” was released in February of 2015.
In 2015, she released her debut extended play “Running with the Wolves” through Decca Records. In 2016, she released her debut studio album “All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend”. In 2018, she released her second studio album “A Different Kind Of Human (Step 2)”.
Aurora has been in one feature film, Frozen II. She has been in four short films; Into the Light, Nothing is Eternal, Once Aurora, and Daydream. She has been in two television shows, Creeped Out, and En gang Aurora.
She has been nominated for thirteen awards and one Grammy. She has won seven of those thirteen awards. Her results for the Grammy are still pending.
Aurora has been featured in three singles called Home, In Bottles and Cynical Mind. She has a total of nineteen singles. Aurora’s most recent release is called Stjernestøv, which was released on November 23, 2020.
Her most popular song is called Runaway, which was released on February 7, 2015. This song is also very popular on TikTok.
While many people might not know her name, they probably know her voice. She is a dedicated musician and her name will be well known.
