On Tuesday September 6th, the Lady Colts Tennis Team faced off against Jack Britt on their home courts. The Colts posted a complete shutout, winning all six singles and 3 doubles. The Colts finished quickly and efficiently, placing the ball expertly wherever they wanted it to go.

The star player for Lady Colts, Brianna Keen, won her match 6-0,6-0. Keen had the toughest match, but she stayed strong and finished on top!
“I felt very steady in the way I was playing,” said Keen after the match. “I just had to keep my feet moving and didn’t take it lightly. I remained focused and worked on my fundamentals and pulled out a win from it.”
Not only did Court 5 have a win but all six courts took home a win! The doubles were on fire staying on top of their game. The volleys were on point, placing them perfectly throughout the court.
Other winners on the day were Brooke Bienek on court one, Anna Piland on court two, Shea Bienek on court three, Andi Brinker on court four, and Ansley Thomas on court six.

“The match went well; it’s simply about executing whatever the game plan is for the specific player on each court,” said Head Coach Chris Lucas. “The most important thing is to focus on how we conduct ourselves on and off the court.”
