Tomorrow the Junior and Senior girls will be facing off in a flag football game at the Cape Fear High School football field at 7:00pm. This has been a Cape Fear tradition for a very long time. The Junior and Senior girls play flag football and the boys dress up as cheerleaders. This event is hosted by the SGA. All proceeds will go to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” non-profit charity organization. Tickets will be available on school cash online or at the gate for $3.00.
Last year, the Juniors won by two touchdowns with the help of Coach Andrade. Coach Andrade’s teams have won seven out of the eight games he has coached. This year, the Juniors are coached by Kaely Churchill and Jose Acosta. The Seniors are being coached by Andrade once again. Expect this matchup to be an intense one. If tradition is any indicator, this should feature some excellent athleticism and some extremely competitive football. Emotions are high and each team is ready to prove that it is the lead horse on campus.
The cheerleaders will be coached by Aliyah Paris. The makeup is ready and the nails are polished. These boys are ready to cheer.
Everyone has been practicing very hard for this Tuesday night, so come out and show your support!
