“My improvement from last year makes a big difference. I would get so angry if I made a mistake, but this year I’m keeping my mindset positive,” said Lexi Perez.
The green was very challenging but the Colts kept their determination and continued to see things through.
“My goal for states is to break 100 and play as good as I played in regionals,” said Alex Serbio.
The Colts are on the top of their game, practicing each day, and improving their skills. They plan to head to Pinehurst and get a feel for the course, preparing for states.
“We’ve had an excellent run these past six years being regional champions for the exception of Covid year.” explained Coach Edge.
Lexi, Kate, and Alex will compete in the 3A state championship next week in Pinehurst at Longleaf Golf and Family Club. These three ladies are practicing down to the very second and are eager to take on the green!!
