Cape Fear enters the playoffs as a 4 seed in the east region. This means they have the chance to host at least three games if they continue to advance. They will begin the playoffs by taking on the Saints of Southern Wayne High School. Southern Wayne finished 6th in the Quad County 3A Conference with a 4-10 record. They are 8-11 overall. The Colts share no common opponents with the Saints.
