What would we be without the people who make our lives brighter? This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our outstanding Student of the Week, Kiliah Lints! Kiliah is a truly remarkable student whose positive attitude, dedication, and vibrant personality make her stand out. Her enthusiasm and commitment shine through in everything she does, making her a wonderful choice for this week’s spotlight
Kiliah is involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities and always strives to show up to school with a positive attitude, ready to share the best parts of herself with everyone she meets. Her energy is infectious, and her commitment to academics, athletics, and her community truly sets her apart. Let’s take a closer look at a day in the life of Kiliah and discover what makes her such an outstanding member of our school.
During her first period, Kiliah takes JROTC, where she continues to excel. As a very social person, she has no trouble making friends and connecting with those around her. Chief Keller states, “She leads by example.” Kiliah has an exciting and determined personality that uplifts others, helps her peers through challenges, and makes her a wonderful person to be around.
She also maintains strong grades in the class and performed outstandingly on her physical training test, demonstrating her commitment to both academics and physical fitness. Chief Keller also says that Kiliah demonstrates a high level of maturity and integrity, always staying true to the people and values that matter to her. Her honesty and responsibility are evident in everything she does, setting a powerful example for her classmates. These qualities are exactly what we love to see in a student because they inspire others to work hard, stay true to themselves, and strive to become the best versions of themselves.
During her second period, Kiliah takes American History, a class she says she really enjoys. She likes paying attention and learning about new topics that surprise or astonish her. She enjoys discovering information she may not have known before and finding connections to things she has learned in the past. Kiliah is also open to exploring subjects she may not have originally been interested in because learning more about them can change her perspective and spark her curiosity. Her willingness to listen, participate, and explore new ideas makes American History a class she looks forward to.
Outside the classroom, Kiliah stays busy with both track and the varsity cheerleading team, two activities she truly loves. She enjoys being around a great group of people during morning cheer practices and appreciates the energy, excitement, and teamwork that come with being part of a team. Whether she’s performing at football games or practicing routines with her teammates, cheerleading allows her to challenge herself, develop new skills, and build confidence while having fun. She especially enjoys performing and being part of a team where everyone supports and encourages one another.
After a busy week filled with schoolwork and sports, Kiliah enjoys taking time to relax and recharge. She loves hanging out with friends and going on runs throughout the day, especially with track being one of her favorite activities. She also enjoys shopping and spending time with the people she cherishes most. Family is another important part of her life. Kiliah has four younger brothers and an older brother who graduated last year! At home, she also has three cats that she loves playing with. Whether she’s spending time with friends, enjoying her hobbies, or being with her family, Kiliah finds happiness in the people and moments that mean the most to her.
Kiliah reminds us that the things we do deserve our full effort and that even the smallest interactions can brighten someone’s day. Her positive attitude, determination, and willingness to support others show that it is possible to make a difference simply by being yourself and showing up for the people around you. Even on the toughest days, she continues to bring her best to those around her.
At Cape Fear, being surrounded by the people we care about makes every moment more meaningful. Kiliah embodies that spirit by bringing positivity, dedication, and love wherever she goes. After all, life is always a little better when we share it with others. Congratulations to Kiliah Lints, our Student of the Week!
