While the Gen-Z essential TikTok has just been saved, one of the newest and quite interesting trends right now is “reality shifting.” With the use of lucid dreaming, reality shifting also involves extensive planning and produces an incredibly intense experience.
Many teenagers are using this as a form of meditation to put themselves into a different world, and as we complete our 7th month in quarantine, it’s not surprising that they want to create a new reality.
While this idea may seem a little peculiar, it has a valid explanation. Meditating is known to have several benefits, such as aligning your conscious and subconscious to help you think more clearly, making your day-to-day life more fulfilling.
Usually, you would only focus on your breathing or on producing a calming image in your head. Once your mind and body are deeply relaxed, you would enter the meditative state. Reality shifting is based around this idea, but instead of letting it happen freely, the most precise details of your experience are planned by you! It’s like incorporating a daydream into your subconscious.
Reality shifting is a complex process, but anyone is able to do it. Jade, @jambasmurf on TikTok, frequently shifts and has posted several videos instructing others on how to reach their desired realities.
“My desired reality during my first shift ever was The Legend of Korra,” says Jade. The Legend of Korra is an animated spin-off show to Avatar: The Last Airbender, both on Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon has created an extensive universe through these shows, in addition to several movies in the series. “I used a method of lucid dreaming and deep meditation techniques to awaken my R.E.M. enough,” she explained.
Before we get more in-depth, let’s go over these terms. Lucid dreaming is when you become consciously aware that you are dreaming. While this can happen without prior planning, there are several ways to induce it. This realization gives you control over the occurrences in your dream, making them seem very realistic. Still, the dreamer knows that they are not.
R.E.M (Rapid Eye Movement) depends on which one of the 4 stages of sleep you are in. Your R.E.M. will not be very active in your deeper sleep stages. Everyone aims for the “sweet spot,” 20% of the time where dreams are most vivid. This usually occurs during the second half of the night, but there are a few ways to manipulate your brain into thinking you are, even during the day.
Lastly, your desired reality is the place you want to travel to. This can be anything and anywhere you’d like. The Harry Potter universe is a very popular one. Some people write out receiving a letter from Hogwarts, which allows them to travel to the school and create their own stories with the characters.
“No matter what anyone says, you can shift into any fictional 2-D or 3-D world. It’s a part of your subconscious, so it will end up feeling real,” Jade expressed.
Shifters use what is called “scripting” to plan important parts of their experience. “Scripting helps the transfer of who you are in your reality, based on details from your past and current situations, and how to shift them into your desired reality,” said Jade.
Basically, this means listing everything that is essential about you and making sure these details will be incorporated into your shift, making the experience even more realistic. This is also where you would plan out any desired events, such as specific character interactions.
There are several ways to induce a reality shift. Before starting, you must make sure you have a clear headspace. Any intrusive thoughts can make your shift unsuccessful. A great way to prepare is by practicing your sleeping habits. “People might want to practice taking a 20-minute nap, waking up, then going back to bed right away to practice R.E.M. activation,” Jade explained.
Once you can better control your sleep, this is where the magic happens! Wait until you are about half-asleep to begin.
A common method to use is the Staircase method, where you imagine yourself walking up a staircase until you reach your desired reality. Another one is the Affirmations/Counting method, where you close your eyes and say statements such as “I am in (your desired reality),” and count down from a large number.
This deep thinking can give you an enriching experience, feeling refreshed, and with a better mindset. “It helps you better understand yourself not only as a person but your goals and your limits,” Jade says. “It also helps with getting yourself motivated enough to start something you might have been scared to start before.”
I definitely appreciate something on TikTok taken seriously for once, this is genuinely a well-written article

getting too attached, mainly. it’ll hurt to come back to this world after a while of being in your desired reality. i speak from experience.

It will feel like a lucid dream. You will be dreaming, but you will be consciously aware of everything that’s happening!

I’m not sure if this actually works, but I heard you can script that you won’t get too attached. That way, you won’t hate your current reality when you return.

u can just script that out if u have a script for ur other reality

imagine all of the choices you have made, you shift into another reality all of the time the thing is that most people are unconsciously doing it. Shifting to your dr is just another reality like this one you have all 5 senses and it feels real because it is real.

I know this is late but in my script you can put ‘I will not get too attached to my DR and it will not hurt, coming back. I’ve never shifted personally but I’m trying to, so I don’t know if that works.

i heard you can script that you dont get too attached. also i think one of the bad things about it is that if your in your dr for too long it can really draining and you can get killer headaches.

Yes, it’s real yet I haven’t done it yet.
But the thing is I’m worried if we die I our reality shifting! If you know what happens please tell me!

As of now, there are really no known risks! It is very similar to dreaming, except you have more control over the occurrences. Like river said, you could definitely get emotionally attached. Also, if you choose to frequently shift, you could mess up your sleeping patterns, causing it to be difficult to stick to a normal schedule.
LikeLike
yes, but it’s actually real. if you have that mindset youll never shift anyway😳

well there aren’t really any. If you have a detailed enough script then things will work out. the first time trying to shift probably wont be successful.

Actually, you can make it so your not attached to the people in your DR (dream reality)just write it in the script! Also you can shift the first time 😉 Make sure to write a safe word so when you want to come make to CR (current reality). I suggest making time stamps as in 1 hour in CR is 1 day in DR ( I suggest starting off with that because you can get really sick if you do like 1 hour in CR is 1 month in DR due to lack of food and water) No, there really aren’t risks, it just sounds scary, if u truly our nervous, script that you’ll have a watch that tells the time and date in the CR world. Hope that helped 😉

I don’t know of any risks. I do know that you’re supposed to script a safeword that will send you back to your current reality. You’re also supposed to script your pain tolerance, like, you don’t feel any pain or you can feel some pain or you can’t die in your dr. I am not an expert on this so I highly recommend that you research more about it if you haven’t already..

There is only really one risk. And that is getting to attached to your dr. Wanting to spend every moment there instead of here. It becoming your new home. It doesn’t effect your mental of physical health; but it is quite bad for you to get too attached.

If you state that 1 second in your CR is 1 year in your DR, you can stay there forever and some people may consider this a risk. But overall it’s just as dangerous or safe as dreaming. In the end, shifting is nothing more than an intense lucid dream.

yes. when you shift, a clone is left behind while your consiousness is elsewhere. you can script what your clone will do. such as do exactly what you would do, study and do well on a test. You can script the clone to not tell anyone you’ve shifted.

So for example, when a person is shifting they can set the time. For example, you can make one hour in your current reality 5 hours, 10 hours, 5 days, 10, or even 30 days in your desired reality. Therefore, for every hour that passes in your current reality, more time passes in your desired reality. You also have a “clone” in your current reality, but I am not an expert so you should do some more digging if you want to shift! ❤ best of luck!

you can also use guided meditation (i suggest the one for reality shifting by Aletheia. it’s one of the first options if you youtube search “reality shifting guided meditation).
there is a method that only requires you to repeat affirmations (gone over in the wattpad) and place your hard copy of a script under your pillow.

i have the same problem. i use the julia method it has little to non imagination nor visualization involved, the raven method too although thats js sorta annoying in my opinion, and the falling method although it does involve visualization, its like simple cus its things youve seen in 1st person and not in a movie, for example im shifting to hogwarts and for me its sorta difficult to imagine myself there in fist person.
julia: get in starfish position *arms nor legs should touch* close ur eyes and start saying “i am” ether in ur head or out loud (u can whisper)(also if u want lo listen to subs js type in “julia method subliminal” and one should pop up)
once u start to feel symptoms (tingles in arms and or legs, feel like ur floating, room is spinning *eyes closed*, feel a change of ur surroundings, twitching) start counting from 1 to 100 and every 10 numbers say an affirmation “i am shifting” “shifting is easy and im a master of it” “i will shift to my dr” “i will wake up on my dr” “i have successfully shifted” etc. once you finish if you’re not asleep by now, you can continue affirming till you fall asleep, just fall asleep, or do it all over again. whichever it might be DO NOT move. once u start saying ‘i am’ DO NOT move. at all.
this is also a non sleeping method. so if you’re using it as non sleeping method once you feel like ur surroundings have changed fully, open your eyes and you should be there
raven: get in starfish position *arms nor legs should touch* close ur eyes and start counting from 1 to 100. every few numbers say an affirmation till you reach 100. eventually you should feel symptoms and if your not asleep by 100 then you can ether do it again or just keep affirming till you fall asleep. also there are subs “raven method subliminals”.
falling: picture yourself running off a cliff into the ocean *if you dont like the ocean then do a field of flowers or whatever you want* then when u jump off the cliff picture yourself falling to the body of water or whatever you chose. one you’re sinking say “i am shifting to ______ *your dr* somebody please save me/help me” then picture someone from your desired reality reaching in for you and pulling you out and you should wake up there.
im pretty sure this is also a non sleep so same thing, once you feel like ur surroundings have changed fully, open your eyes and you should be there
**** you dont absolutely need to be in a starfish position its just recommended so that way you forget about your body and its easier to feel like your surroundings have changed. when you do any method try to ask yourself what you see, feel, smell etc. use your senses. its fine if nothing comes up, make it up! i unfortunately still havent shifted but i know that im close. if you have any questions regarding shifting feel free to dm me on insta sofiii_302

ummmm well the article is a bit wrong. shifting into your dr (desired reality, not dream reality) isnt a dream. it isnt lucid dreaming at all. its similar yes. the thing is that you’re actually there. there are infinite realities of you out there thats why you script so you can be more specific on which one you want to go. time can be different if you want. you can put that one minute on your cr (current reality) is one day on your dr. just dont do a second on your cr is one year on your dr cause that is too much. listening to subliminals helps raise your vibrations so it helps you shift. you have to believe in shifting and be ppositive about it for it to work otherwise its gonna be double the work and it might actually not work. if you have any questions you can always click on this link and join my amino community http://aminoapps.com/p/m4o7g5

I feel like it’s really interesting, I and aware that it’s not a dream or lucid dream, it’s 100% real, but like I have a question, if it is real, can you see that nephew reality like if I were in my normal reality, for example if let’s say one of the main characters kisses me, will I feel it? Or if they touch my arm? Hahaha please respond to both questions, thanksss.

Does it actually feel like the real world when your in your desired reality, or just like a dream where you can’t feel?

Yes you can be in dr forever or aslong as you script to be immortal in dr and time is 1hour cr would be like one year dr.

Does anyone know how it works when you shift to an animated world? Like, do you script that you are animated too? Or can you go to that world still looking like yourself and have everyone around you just look more realistic?

You look like yourself but animated unless you want to look different. Everyone will be animated just more 3D unless you script that they look realistic.

Seriously, Quantum shifting or reality shifting as you may call, it has nothing to do with lucid dreaming. The two terms are completely different things .Quantum shifting is like a physical shift into an actual parallel universe. Do your own research

Okay I read about 75% of comments and I just need some stability here.
1. What happens if you accidentally stay there for too long? Like the time limit doesn’t work and I loose track of time?
2. The clone thing is kinda weird. So some random tenically robot is in my brain and I’m off smelling daisies?? No hate just want to know if that’s real & safe.
3. If someone is trying to wake you up in cr, can you feel it? Do you automatically get taken back to cr? Or is it like a godly voice in the sky that you hear suddenly?
4. This one is kind of stupid, but hypothetically, say you’re in dr and you die in cr. Or your ‘clone’ dies in cr. what happens to u in Dr?? Do you die or stay in Dr forever? And if you die in dr do you go back to cr or start over or just kinda stay there dead until your time limit is up? Cause you couldn’t say the safe word cause you would be dead.
So sorry, I have a bunch of questions. (I overthink too much) I want to shift but I am a Lil unsure (in case you haven’t noticed haha) if someone actually reads this. Thank you so much and if you have answers, I would appreciate them greatly.

1. Your way more likely to shift out to early the stay there for to long.
2. Your clone is literally just you. They act just like you. They are like your bestie who takes over for you while you go on an adventure.
3. That is when your clone comes in. They will take over for you and wake up while you stay in your dr and you won’t know.
4. Your body is powering your brain which lets you shift. If your brain dies all of you dies.

so i have a question, if you can’t visualise or think of how your DR looks like correctly, can your mind accidentally shift you to another reality? like for example, let’s say i’m trying to shift to bnha but accidentally shift to shingeki no kyojin because i accidentally visualised something else or don’t know all the details of the reality i’m going to be in, does that occur?
and, another question. does the environment in the DR come naturally / is set randomly or do you have to visualise and script it down at the exact?

I mean there are some adhd friendly methods that could help but I haven’t personally shifted to the wrong reality. Also you don’t even have to script most of the place except your room (if you want it perfect) and where you are going.

Please someone answer the questions from the 21st. Also, everyone is saying that it also feels 100% real. What the heck. I’d probably get attached, so I’ll script that I won’t. But guys, do I eat there? Drink? Need to use the toilet? Also, question to ppl here who alr shifted, were you in shock? Thanks

It feels 100% like real life unless you specifically script something like “I won’t get hurt” Some people get attached but you have to remember you can always go back. You eat, (though sometimes the food tastes either great or like grass) sleep, drink, use the bathroom unless you specifically script that you won’t have to do these things. And yes it is very shocking because you just kinda wake up in a place you’ve only seen on a screen then your in it! And all the characters you’ve watched on the tv are just chilling like your bestfriends.

Is the shift permanent?
LikeLike
Not on your first try. You will either shift back on accident or say your safe word and shift out. You will only shift permanently if you really really want to (Which I don’t suggest) So you can go to many different realities and stay there as long as you want.

When you reality shift, do you actually go there, or do you just dream it?
LikeLike
You actual go there, you can return either when you become tired or when you wish to leave. You physical body will stay in this reality only your conscience will go, so you have all 5 senses and such.

Exactly my question, idk if it’s just an illusion or an actual real place, reality, etc …
