As Halloween approaches, many of us are scrambling to find something to do on the spookiest night of the year. With COVID-19 still a prominent issue, it can be a struggle to find something that will be safe for everyone. Luckily, one of Fayetteville’s most well-known Halloween attractions, the Stoney Point Trail of Terror, is still operating this season! 

The Stoney Point Trail of Terror is a haunted house run by the firefighters and volunteers at the Stoney Point Fire Department in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Located in the Jack Britt area, this attraction has lured the entire community in with the fascinating indoor trail, containing several different themes and actors to bring the horror to life. They also have live music from local bands each night, and paintball in their zombie gallery.  

This will be the 18th year open, and every single year, they never disappoint. “It was pretty scary,” says CFNN Editor/Reporter Lorelei Harr. “I remember walking through last year and the smoke machines were a nice touch. Even though I kept coughing after, the experience was still memorable, and worth the price,” she said.

Tickets cost $15, but every dollar is worth it. All of the proceeds are used for the Fire Department to purchase new gear and fund the Fire Department’s Continuing Education program. They are available to purchase on-site. 

This year, the trail will be open on October 16th and 17th, 23rd and 24th, and the 29th through the 31st. Hours of operation are 8pm to 11pm for each night.

Safety precautions will be in place, with all volunteers, actors, and visitors required to wear masks, and social distancing regulations as well.
